Great news has arrived for the residents of the St. Demetrius Residence in receiving a grant from the Social Housing Renovation and Retrofit Program (SHRRP) to replace the floors in all apartments and the common room. This wonderful opportunity came soon after the Residence had received a grant from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for the replacement of toilets.

The exciting news came quickly with very strict and tight timelines that must be fulfilled by the Residence. All renovations under the grant must be completed by March 31, 2010. Special rooms and support will be set up for the residents on the day of their room renovation. Please be assured that residents will not be disturbed over the holidays. The St. Demetrius Residence is grateful for the grant from SHRRP that will upgrade and improve each apartment.
