$50,000 Donation from TD Waterhouse

Jan 26, 2010

The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre and the Sakura Ball committee are thrilled to have TD Waterhouse on board as presenting sponsor for the Second Annual Sakura Ball, to be held at the JCCC on April 10th 2010.

The Sakura Ball is the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre’s largest and most anticipated event of the year. Celebrating the best of Canadian and Japanese culture, the Sakura Ball is unique evening filled with first class entertainment and cuisine.

Following the sold out inaugural gala which featured a key note speech delivered by the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, this year’s gala promises to be another smashing success as it honours the world renowned Japanese Canadian Architect Raymond Moriyama.

The event is held at the JCCC’s very own 114,000 s.f facility. Once home to a printing plant, a combination of new construction and strategic renovation transformed the existing office building into a cultural facility that is welcoming, accessible and inclusive. The design embodies an idea of community and provides a flexible infrastructure for the full range of programming offered by the institution.
